Taizhou Marathon opens registration for a scenic city run

Registration is now open for the 2026 Taizhou Marathon, which will take place on Oct 25. Runners can sign up through Sept 13, with places allocated by lottery and results expected in mid-to-late September.

A total of 15,000 runners will take to the starting line, including 3,000 full-marathon and 12,000 half-marathon participants. The route will take them past some of Taizhou's best-known landmarks, including Taizhou Sports Park, Tiande Lake Park, Fengcheng River Scenic Area, the Mei Lanfang Memorial Museum and Wanghai Tower.

Designed with a flat, wide and comfortable course, the marathon caters equally to both first-time runners and seasoned athletes chasing a personal best. Well-spaced hydration, medical and security stations will line the route, backed by professional emergency teams, volunteers and smart dispatch systems. Drone-based cooling and other technologies will also help keep runners safe and comfortable throughout the race.
