The 25th China Changchun International Agricultural and Food Expo (Trade Fair) opened on Aug 14 at Changchun Modern Agricultural Park, bringing together agricultural enterprises, research institutions, buyers, and visitors for 10 days of exhibitions, exchanges, and trade.

A new exhibition area highlights agricultural integration across Changchun, Jilin, Siping, and Liaoyuan. The agricultural machinery section has expanded to 49,000 square meters, with more than 300 companies presenting equipment and live demonstrations of unmanned smart machinery. Visitors can also explore local specialties and traditional handicrafts.

Trade matching has been enhanced, with participation from high-quality agricultural companies across 25 provinces and regions. Special promotion and tasting events spotlight products including Jilin rice, Changbai Mountain ginseng, and Shuangyang sika deer products, while buyers and major retailers hold business talks and procurement deals.

Technology is another key attraction. Research teams and more than 30 universities and institutes are showcasing advances in smart agriculture, black soil conservation, crop breeding, and unmanned farming.

The expo also merges agriculture with tourism and the upcoming Changchun 2027 Winter Universiade, opening new avenues to promote local products, rural tourism, and winter attractions.
