Digital art group Asta Lab has created a sensorial and immersive environment at the Today Art Museum in Beijing, integrating digital art, real-time video, original music, and spatial installations.
The ASTA+ Naked-Eye 3D Digital Art Exhibition explores the perpetual creation of new images, spaces, and life-forms made possible by digital technology.
At the beginning of the exhibition, a series of digital installations introduces visitors to the main characters and themes of the journey that follows. Upon entering the main exhibition hall, visitors are immediately transported into a world of fantasy. Across floor-to-ceiling screens, a series of narratives unfolds centering on Pangu — the creator of the world in ancient Chinese mythology — the awakening of digital consciousness, and visions of a post-human civilization. Through algorithms, artificial intelligence, and digital media, the exhibition reinterprets Eastern conceptions of life, time, and the connections between all things, offering new perspectives on these enduring ideas.
