Baotou advances to knockout stage

Baotou faced Wuhai away in the 11th round of the Mengniu 2026 Inner Mongolia Football Super League on July 25.

After the previous 10 rounds, Baotou recorded seven wins, one draw, and two losses with 22 points, securing a top-three finish in the first stage.

Baotou scored just 2 minutes into the match, taking an early 1-0 lead on the road.

In the 29th minute, Lyu Zheng, Baotou's number 17, scored a penalty, extending the lead to 2-0.

Both sides made substitutions in the second half, yet neither team managed to score. Baotou ultimately beat Wuhai 2-0 and advanced to the knockout stage.
