AI conference empowers Baotou’s digital industry

The third Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region Artificial Intelligence (AI) Conference was held in Baotou on July 19.

The event attracted more than 700 academicians, experts, government and enterprise representatives, and university faculty and students to explore Baotou's unique scenarios in rare earths, energy, medicine-engineering integration, embodied intelligence, agriculture, and animal husbandry, paving a new digital path for the city's high-quality development.

Seven sub-forums were held concurrently during the conference, covering smart agriculture, energy and electric power, embodied intelligence, medicine-engineering integration, and other fields.

Gong Maoguo, vice-president of Inner Mongolia Normal University, said in an interview that, having participated in organizing the event for three consecutive sessions, he has witnessed improvements in the AI talent exchange system in Inner Mongolia.

Baotou boasts abundant wind and solar resources, endowing it with inherent advantages for developing green computing power. During the conference, experts from universities and practitioners from energy enterprises held in-depth discussions on the coordinated scheduling of green power and computing power, aiming to turn these green resource advantages into core competitiveness for the digital economy.

Baotou has now forged an AI development path rooted in key industries including rare earths, energy, and agriculture and animal husbandry, injecting momentum into the development of the city's modern industrial system.
