Lotus flowers in full bloom at Hunan resort

Lotus flowers are in full bloom at the Xianyuling Scenic Area in Zhuzhou, Central China's Hunan province, transforming the expansive wetland into a sea of pink and white, set against a backdrop of lush green leaves.

Spanning over 60 hectares, the lotus-covered landscape has become a popular summer destination for visitors seeking a tranquil escape. A newly constructed wooden boardwalk and viewing platform allows tourists to stroll among the blossoms and enjoy the picturesque countryside.

The Xianyuling Scenic Area, covering a planned area of approximately 4 square kilometers, was designated a provincial-level tourist resort in 2025.
