OVC unveils plan to become hub of intelligent agents

Wuhan East Lake High-tech Development Zone (Optics Valley of China, or OVC) has announced the "Optics Valley Intelligent Agent Attraction Plan", a comprehensive strategy to rapidly develop the intelligent agent economy by focusing on real-world use cases, funding, and talent.

Over the next three years, OVC plans to invest over 1 billion yuan ($147.5 million) in policies, computing power, and funds. The aim is to nurture 100 industry-leading intelligent agent innovation enterprises, launch 1,000 innovative agent products, and attract 10,000 intelligent agent developers, establishing OVC as a hub of intelligent agents.

The artificial intelligence industry is swiftly transitioning from a focus on large models to intelligent agents, fostering a new form of productivity characterized by "human-machine symbiosis". According to industry statistics, the market value of China's enterprise-level intelligent agents has surpassed 48 billion yuan, with an annual growth rate of 300 percent.

OVC has already attracted a collection of high-level innovation platforms, established over 5,000 petaflops of intelligent computing power, and developed 20 OPC (One Person Company) innovation communities. Home to over 800 related enterprises, the zone has incubated 125 mature intelligent agent products, driving the industry into a new phase of increased breakthroughs.
