​Xi'an holds China-Central Asia youth exchange event

The China-Central Asia Youth Development Dialogue was held in Xi'an on June 24.

More than 80 participants, including heads of youth organizations and young entrepreneurs from Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, and Uzbekistan, as well as young representatives from all sectors of China gathered for in-depth discussions on new cooperation opportunities spanning innovation, trade, and cultural exchanges.

Shaanxi province has deepened its multi-field exchanges with all Central Asian countries in recent years. Many participants said Xi'an boasts profound Silk Road cultural heritage and comprehensive scientific, educational, and industrial resources, creating an unparalleled platform for young people from the six countries to pursue innovation and entrepreneurship.

They hoped to take youth exchanges as a bond to tap cooperation potential in sectors including modern agriculture, advanced manufacturing, and cross-border trade, thus sustaining thriving cultural exchanges along the Silk Road.

Heads of youth representatives from all countries proposed establishing a long-term communication mechanism to open up channels for cooperation in educational exchanges, startup incubation, and cultural and creative development, enabling young people to serve as a bridge for mutual learning among civilizations.

China signed five cooperation projects on youth development with universities and enterprises from Central Asian countries. Covering five key sectors including cross-border e-commerce, ore processing, and digital supply chains, these initiatives will build new channels for entrepreneurial collaboration among young people from the six countries.
