Huaqing Palace hosts Dragon Boat Festival events

Huaqing Palace Scenic Area is combining folk customs with the intangible cultural heritage of Qinqiang Opera to establish a series of immersive cultural events for the upcoming Dragon Boat Festival, inviting renowned Qinqiang Opera masters, including Li Xiaofeng, Ren Xiaolei, and Qi Aiyun, to lead special performances.

The scenic area is also offering classes on basic opera postures and classic recitations, as well as parades featuring Qinqiang Opera characters, breaking the conventional boundaries of stage viewing and allowing visitors to get up close to this operatic style from Northwest China.

Additionally, all national high school and college entrance examination candidates can enter the scenic area free of charge with their exam admission ticket and ID card from June 9 to Aug 31.
