Taiyuan to host intl energy industry expo

The 2026 China (Taiyuan) International Energy Industry Expo is scheduled for Sept 3 to 6 at the Shanxi Xiaohe International Convention and Exhibition Center in Taiyuan. The event aims to serve as a platform for showcasing achievements in energy technology, exploring emerging trends, and fostering the integration of the industrial ecosystem.

The expo will cover a total exhibition area of 60,000 square meters and feature 13 themed exhibition areas, including energy transition and development, international cooperation, specialized parks, new energy and power, energy industry chain cluster, and new energy vehicles, thus covering crucial segments of the energy industry chain.

This year's expo will highlight pioneering innovations in the energy sector. The new energy and power section will feature advanced applications such as wind-solar-hydrogen integration, smart grids, virtual power plants, and zero-carbon computing parks. The intelligent equipment section will spotlight the latest achievements in areas like intelligent coal mine transformation, 5G smart mining, and digital operation and maintenance of energy equipment.

A series of specialized activities will be held during the event, bringing together domestic and international academicians, industry leaders, government officials, and association representatives. Participants will engage in in-depth discussions on key topics such as energy transition, technological innovation, industry collaboration, international cooperation, and talent development, exploring new opportunities for green and low-carbon growth.

Targeted matchmaking sessions will also be organized for professional buyers, investment institutions, and industry groups to facilitate the efficient implementation of technologies, projects, capital, and orders, ensuring valuable outcomes for both exhibitors and visitors.
