The "Visit Czechia, Feel Free" 2026 Czech Republic tourism promotion event was held in Xi'an on May 21.

Lukas Pokorny, director of Czech Tourism Beijing, and Adam Kupka, economic diplomat at the Embassy of the Czech Republic in Beijing, together with representatives from the Czech Republic's tourism, culture, and business sectors, held in-depth discussions with Chinese tourism agencies and media guests to explore new avenues for China-Czech tourism cooperation.

Pokorny said that China has long served as a key source market for inbound tourism to the Czech Republic. Utilizing newly developed tourism offerings and opportunities for air route collaboration, Czech authorities aim to showcase the country's unique charms to Chinese visitors.

In 2025, the Czech Republic registered 207,232 inbound Chinese arrivals and 372,491 overnight stays. Thanks to streamlined visa procedures and faster application processing, annual growth in Chinese visa applications has surpassed 20 percent, delivering greater travel convenience for Chinese tourists.

Pokorny also highlighted special offerings tailored to current market demands, including cross-border combined tours covering the Czech Republic and Austria or Germany, and bespoke holiday packages targeting the family-vacation niche market.

Xu Jiao, senior manager at Czech Tourism Beijing, introduced the Czech Republic's diverse tourism resources and latest developments. The promotion spans five core categories, including cultural experiences, outdoor nature exploration, and local gourmet delicacies, catering to travelers of all ages, from young backpackers to family vacationers with children.

Czech enterprises and institutions delivered distinctive presentations at the event, with representatives from the Mozart Interactive Museum and the Illusion Art Museum showcasing innovative immersive cultural and tourism offerings that highlight the vitality of Czech cultural tourism.

Petr Vejvoda Krivonozka, a representative of Fashion Arena Prague Outlets, unveiled the latest shopping tourism experiences available in Prague, while Vladimir Adamec, sales director at Vega Tour, introduced the firm's secure, premium coach travel services across Europe, positioning the agency as a trusted European partner for Chinese clients.

Representatives from Run Czech shared unique resources around Czech marathon events and sports tourism, while Wings Travel highlighted its professional strengths as an inbound ground operator.

The event opened a window for participants to gain in-depth insights into the charm of Czech culture and tourism, injecting fresh momentum into China-Czech cooperation across tourism, culture, and commerce.
