One Meter: Small and Beautiful, an exhibition now underway in the education space of the National Art Museum of China, is a special gift to preschoolers. The artworks are hung on walls or placed on desks at a height no higher than 1 meter, so they can be easily seen by small children. More than 150 paintings and handicrafts are all from kindergartens in Beijing and demonstrate the children's innocence, imagination and creativity. As the artist Pablo Picasso once said, "(It would take me) a lifetime to paint like a child."

On June 1, the exhibition was visited by children attending several primary schools near the museum. The trip was part of the museum's annual Children's Day activities.
