The first International Culture Festival of Xi'an Shiyou University, themed "A New Chapter on the Silk Road · Energy Illuminating the World", was held on May 23. Featuring artistic performances and cultural exhibitions, the event drew nearly 1,000 teachers and students from 53 countries.
The festival serves as an important platform for young people from all nations to showcase their talents and forge friendships. It also stands as a vivid practice of the university's commitment to international education and fostering a diverse and inclusive campus culture, fully embodying the spirit of friendship, integration and mutual progress among Chinese and overseas students.
During the event, students from Mongolia, South Sudan, Mozambique, Zimbabwe, Bangladesh, Laos, and other countries presented distinctive dances, showcasing exotic charm with the power of art.
The event set up 29 booths showcasing the cultures of different countries, alongside themed booths for energy enterprises and traditional Chinese medicine experiences.
International students shared local delicacies, traditional handicrafts, and ethnic costumes, and introduced their national history and folk culture to visitors, allowing more people to experience the charm of diverse civilizations from around the world.
The festival has enriched the university's diverse and inclusive campus culture. The university will draw on its educational strengths and geographical advantages, advance international education and cultural exchanges, and strive to compose a new chapter in forging international trade links featuring enhanced cultural integration and win-win cooperation.
