From June 19 to 21, the acclaimed play Sudi Chunxiao (Dawn on the Su Causeway in Spring) will be performed at the Guangzhou Opera House in Guangzhou, Guangdong province. Reimagining the great poet Su Shi (1037-1101) as a “Song Dynasty civil servant”, the production blends humor and philosophy to portray his remarkable life, exploring the balance between worldly duty and transcendence through vivid Song Dynasty (960-1279) culture.
