The new exhibition at the Sanxingdui Museum in Sichuan province aims the spotlight at the Yungang Grottoes in Shanxi province – a UNESCO World Heritage site first carved during the Northern Wei Dynasty (386-534). Stone sculptures, pottery, gold ware, and glass artifacts come together to reveal the history, artistic brilliance, and living legacy of the grottoes.
