The 12th International Chamber of Commerce Association Trade and Investment Fair and the First Chinese Enterprises Matchmaking Conference was held in Xi'an on May 20.
As a key part of the 10th Silk Road International Exposition, the event focuses on the restructuring of global industrial chains and the new wave of Chinese enterprises going global, having attracted more than 300 participants, including officials from embassies and consulates of seven countries, such as the United Kingdom, the Philippines, and Thailand, as well as heads of over 20 international chambers of commerce.
During the event's promotion session, Ran Hongbin, president of the China Chamber of International Commerce Xi'an Chamber of Commerce, outlined Xi'an's economic and social development and investment environment. International representatives from institutions in the United Kingdom, Germany, and Iran introduced their respective national investment environments, laws, and regulations, as well as opportunities for Chinese enterprises to go global.
The event's investment promotion handbook was also released, which records 122 key cooperation projects from 14 countries and regions, including Egypt, Germany, Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan, and Serbia. It includes 424 investment promotion projects from 20 domestic regions, such as Beijing, Shanghai, and Hangzhou, as well as 325 projects from Xi'an, for a total of 871, a record high in all sessions. These projects cover multiple sectors, including manufacturing, science and technology, finance, cultural tourism, and digital economy.
At the signing ceremony, the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade Xi'an Sub-council signed memorandums of cooperation with the Iran‑China Chamber of Commerce and Industries and the Arab Union for Productive Families, Handicrafts, and Traditional Industries. Datang Lingyu (Shaanxi) Holding Co, a local Xi'an enterprise, signed a strategic cooperation agreement with the China-Pakistan International Business Alliance.
Over 150 Chinese and international enterprises held more than 60 one‑on‑one business talks, with dozens reaching preliminary cooperation intentions, covering eight industrial sectors, including logistics and transportation, traditional Chinese medicine, and cross‑border e‑commerce.
The event has built an integrated platform featuring policy interpretation, resource matching, and cross‑border empowerment, creating opportunities for domestic cities to cooperate with international chambers of commerce, trade and investment promotion agencies, multinational corporations, and pioneering enterprises going global.
