This bronze you (wine vessel) from the Western Zhou Dynasty (c.11th century-771 BC) was made under the name of Gong. Every detail reveals the sophistication of ancient Chinese bronze artistry: a drooping lower body, horn-like projections on the lid, dragon motifs curling around the neck, sculpted beast-head reliefs, and elegant phoenix and square-spiral patterns across the surface. A masterpiece blending function and aesthetics!

Unearthed in Huangshan, Anhui province, this bronze treasure is now housed at the Anhui Museum.
