Treasures unearthed in Shanxi province from the Western and Eastern Zhou periods (c. 11th century-256 BC) are now on display at the Summer Palace Museum in Beijing. Exquisite bronzeware and other artifacts from significant archaeological discoveries vividly trace the 600-year history of the State of Jin – from its founding and rise to dominance in the Spring and Autumn Period (770-476 BC), to its division into three rival powers.
