Xu Qiang, a representative of WWF Chengdu, said the conservation of flagship species and habitats has always been one of the key priorities of the WWF's work in China, as protecting flagship species mean preserving the biodiversity they embody.

In the sharing session, experts engaged in in-depth exchanges with the participants, discussing how to link local communities with conservation goals through educating them about nature, enhance the appeal and communication influence of this kind of education, and achieve coexistence and win-win development between humans and the natural world.

After the seminar, participants visited the exhibition on flagship wildlife species in western China, gaining a better understanding of the survival stories and conservation achievements of species including giant pandas, snow leopards, and Asian elephants amid climate change.
