Since ancient times, the Shangsi Festival has been celebrated with rituals of purification, blessing, and spring outings. Belief in the Twelve Flora reflects a reverence for nature and beauty. The daily Flora parade has become the most eye-catching attraction in the scenic area.

"I was really impressed by the beauty of traditional Chinese culture when I saw the Twelve Flora performance during the Spring Festival Gala. I never expected to see them in person at Huaqing Palace today!" said a tourist from Chengdu.

"Following the parade, I experienced the elegance of Eastern aesthetics and the unique charm of traditional Chinese culture. This will be my most special memory this spring."

Meanwhile, the scenic area also presented a series of immersive performances. Drawing on classic poetry and traditional Chinese dance, the shows combined acting and music to recreate the lively spring scenes of the Shangsi Festival during the Tang Dynasty (618-907).

Inspired by Tang culture, the Shangsi Festival blends traditional elements with modern presentation. It has helped boost spring spending and bring new life to traditional culture.

Huaqing Palace will continue to explore the profound culture of the prosperous Tang Dynasty, offer new immersive experiences, and make culture a driving force for the high-quality development of the cultural tourism industry.
