Shanxi, Macao foster digital dissemination of Guan Gong culture

The 2026 Guan Gong Culture Exchange Symposium was recently held in Macao, bringing together political, cultural, and business leaders from Shanxi province and Macao. The event focused on the preservation of Guan Gong culture, fostering deep exchanges in cultural, economic, and social fields between the two regions.

Representatives from Shanxi's digital cultural enterprises and Macao's Guan Gong cultural institutions jointly announced the launch of the Guan Gong Culture Global Data Cloud Platform, marking a critical step in the international digital dissemination of Guan Gong culture.

The "Global Digital Tour of Guan Gong Culture" also officially commenced. This year, the exhibition will first be held overseas, followed by a domestic tour. Utilizing cutting-edge technologies like XR, digital twins, and AIGC, the exhibition offers multilingual digital art content. 

The tour will also lead to the development of a complete industrial chain, including digital collectibles, immersive performances, educational courses, and cultural creations, creating a sustainable and evolving digital cultural ecosystem.

Shanxi, as the birthplace of Guan Gong culture, shares deep-rooted ties with Macao. This event serves as a new starting point for enhanced practical exchanges in trade, tourism, and youth engagement between the two regions, making loyalty and righteousness – the core spirit of Guan Gong culture – a powerful force driving the further integration of Shanxi and Macao.

Zhang Chaojie, president of the Macao Inherit Guan Gong Culture Association, said the association will continue to integrate Guan Gong culture with digital technology, creating a multimedia communication matrix. They aim to regularly conduct youth exchange programs between Shanxi and Macao, fostering new talent for the long-term integration of the two regions.
