Shanxi unveils four premium spring travel routes

Shanxi province has launched four premium travel routes, inviting visitors to discover its breathtaking spring landscapes and immerse themselves in the region's rich cultural heritage.

Route One: Yungang Grottoes – Huayan Temple – Datong Ancient City – Xuankong Temple – Yingxian Wooden Pagoda – Mount Wutai

This route highlights the splendor of ancient Chinese architecture, creating a vivid journey through the nation's architectural history. From the majestic Yungang Grottoes to the sacred Mount Wutai, travelers will encounter an inspiring blend of grotto art, historic structures, and natural scenery, gaining a deeper appreciation for the profound craftsmanship of traditional Chinese architecture.

Route Two: Mengshan Mountain – Jinci Temple – Qiao Family Courtyard – Pingyao Ancient City – Shuanglin Temple – Mianshan Mountain

Designed for family-friendly spring outings, this route guides visitors through the legendary Shanxi merchants at the Qiao Family Courtyard and immerse themselves in Ming (1368-1644) and Qing (1644-1911) dynasties culture within the Pingyao Ancient City, giving children the chance to learn while having fun.
