Xiong'an opens new cultural and sports center

The Xiongdong Integrated Cultural and Sports Center officially opened on Saturday in Xiong'an New Area, Hebei province, marking a significant step in improving public services and urban functions in the burgeoning city.

The facility is a public service hub designed for public participation and sharing. Its launch reflects Xiong'an's commitment to combining public welfare with consumption-driven initiatives by investing in infrastructure and people's well-being, local authorities said.

"The opening of the center marks a further improvement in the new area's public service system and a new level in its urban functions and facilities," said Wang Qi, who is in charge of the center's management.

To mark the opening, the center has rolled out a series of cultural and sports events lasting more than 10 days. These activities are built around performing arts, sports competitions, and immersive cultural experiences.

More similar facilities, including the Rongxi Workers' Cultural Palace and the Zangang Integrated Cultural and Sports Center, are set to open in April and May.
