'Wenxiu' rose pays a tribute to deceased Guangxi official

The name "Wenxiu" was selected following an online naming campaign launched in December 2025 by the Flower Research Institute of the Yunnan Academy of Agricultural Sciences for the newly developed pale-yellow rose variety.

Huang Aijuan, Huang Wenxiu's elder sister, described the flower as "bright yet understated, delicate and graceful," adding that touching it "feels like my sister is still with us".
