Yizhou resort project eyes trial opening this year

A major tourism resort in Yizhou district of Hechi is expected to begin trial operations later this year, having already secured an investment of over 150 million yuan ($20.7 million) for its first phase, local authorities said.
The Jiulongjing Tourist Resort is one of the largest scenic projects currently under construction in Yizhou and a major project coordinated at the regional level in Guangxi. With a planned total investment of 298 million yuan and a total area of about 9,000 mu (600 hectares), the resort is designed to become a premier destination blending leisure, wellness and cultural experiences.
Located in Liu Sanjie town, to the north of Yizhou, the resort spans four villages and constitutes an important part of the Gulong River-Bailong Cave scenic area. Its development is rooted in Yizhou's distinctive karst landscape and the rich cultural legacy of Liu Sanjie, the legendary folk song figure that is closely tied to the region.

The first phase of development, centering on Jiutou Mountain and the Xiajian River, will feature boutique homestays, a healing-themed hotel, campsites, family entertainment, study-tour programs, water sports and other tourism offerings.
The design includes multiple themed zones, including a sky wellness retreat area on Jiutou Mountain, a riverside sightseeing corridor and leisure and educational spaces in Liumei village.
To enrich the visitor experience, the resort will incorporate infrastructure such as sightseeing cable cars, elevated pedestrian walkways and river cruise operations. Additionally, accommodations will feature treehouse-style design, alongside wellness centers and dining venues themed around local culture.
The project is expected to expand local tourism supply, strengthen Yizhou's culture-tourism and wellness industries and inject fresh momentum into rural revitalization, as construction continues at full pace this year.
