The State of Guo was an essential feudal state of the Ji royal clan in the early Western Zhou Dynasty (c.11th century-771 BC). Originating in present-day Baoji, Shaanxi, it was renowned for its military prowess and loyalty to the Zhou kings, helping defend and stabilize the dynasty during its rise.

The Anhui Museum is now showcasing precious artifacts unearthed from the Guo State cemetery in Sanmenxia, Henan province. These remarkable treasures shed light on the politics, economy, culture, and military might that once defined the State of Guo, revealing a vibrant civilization that flourished about three millennia ago.
