At the age of just 14, Huang Bin shared first prize with Maxim Vengerov at the Wieniawski Competition. She went on to achieve what few have accomplished: winning top prizes at all three of the world’s most prestigious competitions: the Paganini (1994), Munich ARD (1999) and Wieniawski.
Huang made history with her 2013 live recording of Beethoven’s Violin Concerto using Paganini’s own legendary violin, the “Cannon” — the only existing live recording with that treasured instrument. Her Naxos recording Baroque Violin Favorites was named Editor’s Choice by American Record Guide.
She has performed with leading orchestras including the Bavarian Radio Symphony and Czech Philharmonic, gracing the world’s most prestigious stages — Lincoln Center, Berlin Philharmonie, and Beijing’s National Centre for the Performing Arts.
