Leading companies from Wuhan East Lake High-tech Development Zone (Optics Valley of China, or OVC) showcased their innovations at the Mobile World Congress (MWC), the world's most influential event in the mobile communications industry, in Barcelona, Spain, from March 2 to 5.

A dedicated "Wuhan·Optics Valley of China" exhibition area featured companies from sectors such as optical communications, chips, smart hardware, and network security, presenting globally leading and internationally pioneering technological achievements.
In Hall 1, China Information and Communication Technology Group (CICT), a national leader in the optical communication sector that focuses on AI data centers, telecom networks, and digital transformation, displayed a range of AI and information and communication technology collaborative innovations.

Yangtze Optical Fibre and Cable Joint Stock Limited Company (YOFC), the world's largest supplier of optical preforms, fibers, and cables, unveiled its hollow-core fiber solution, a breakthrough that surpasses traditional fiber transmission limits, offering high-performance channels for intelligent computing center interconnections and distributed large models.
Consumer-grade tech products made in OVC were also highlighted, with Wuhan Silicon Integrated Co, a leader in sensor chips, showcasing its 3D image sensors capable of precise spatial and object perception, while Zdeer Industrial (Hubei) Co displayed a series of healthcare products, including bone conduction hearing aids that can be worn without entering the ear.
Beyond the exhibition, OVC companies participated in the China Wuhan-Spain Economic and Trade Cooperation Exchange Event and other business activities, aiming to expand into European markets, including Spain and the United Kingdom.
