During the 15th Five-Year Plan (2026-30) period, promoting high-quality development is the overarching theme of China's economic and social progress.

LONGi Green Energy Technology Co (LONGi), a leading global solar technology company and a key player in Shaanxi's photovoltaic industry, exemplifies this drive. Zhong Baoshen, deputy to the National People's Congress and chairman of LONGi, emphasized that China's photovoltaic industry must adopt higher standards to advance high-quality development.

He suggested that the government should encourage new technologies and products to break the cycle of homogenization, foster technological iteration and upgrades, and ensure that China's photovoltaic technologies and products maintain their global leadership.

The 15th Five-Year Plan period marks a crucial stage for Shaanxi to achieve leapfrog development and serve as a model in China's modernization drive.

Qi Zhifeng, a member of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) and president of the Shaanxi Auction Industry Association, noted that in the first year of this plan, coordinated urban-rural and regional development has become central to consolidating the achievements of poverty alleviation and advancing common prosperity.

In promoting regional synergy, he emphasized invigorating county-level economies through "group-based" assistance and cross-regional corridor development initiatives. Qi stressed the need to strengthen fiscal and legal safeguards to foster a supportive atmosphere in which the entire society participates in and advances coordinated urban-rural development and shared prosperity.

Wang Shuhui, a member of the National Committee of the CPPCC, has long been engaged in public welfare, providing insights and suggestions for the launch of the 15th Five-Year Plan.

Wang stated that, for senior citizens, her work focuses on assisted dining services and guiding their consumption habits. For children, she is dedicated to issues such as student nutrition programs, the transition from preschool to primary education, and children's physical and mental well-being.

This year, she plans to continue working in these areas, offering more actionable recommendations to build a senior-friendly dining service system and to address the growing "stay-at-home" phenomenon among children, thereby promoting their healthy development.
