With China's unmanned sanitation market now surpassing 10 billion yuan ($1.45 billion), Yantai's Huang-Bohai New Area has emerged as a key industry hub through integrated innovation spanning ground and aerial technologies.
Local firm Hiacent Technology operates L4 autonomous sweepers with centimeter-level precision, capable of 5cm curb-hugging cleaning. These vehicles double as "mobile sensory nodes", collecting road and environmental data for urban management platforms.
The region also deploys drone technology. Breeze Hero Aviation Technology's drones recently cleaned a 40.5-meter landmark five times faster than humans while cutting water use by 60 percent. The technology will expand to building facades and emergency disinfection.
Behind these advances lies a complete industrial value chain. Raytron Technology supplies infrared imaging for low-visibility operations, while Yitong UAV System and Welkin Seahawks UAV Application Technology lead in drone manufacturing. By integrating AI, IoT, and advanced manufacturing, Huang-Bohai New Area demonstrates how coordinated innovation drives industrial transformation.
