Xi'an people's congress wraps up annual session

The seventh session of the 17th Xi'an people's congress concluded on March 2.

Deputies voted and adopted resolutions on the work report of the Xi'an municipal people's government, the outline of the 15th Five-Year Plan for national economic and social development of Xi'an, and Xi'an's implementation of the 2025 national economic and social development plan.

The congress conducted elections. Zhao Jing was elected director of the Standing Committee of the 17th Xi'an people's congress. Wang Xiaolin, Lyu Qiang, Jia Yihao, and Zhang Shuili were all elected deputy directors.

In her speech, Zhao called on all deputies to take concrete actions to strive for a sound start to the 15th Five-Year Plan (2026-30) and create a new chapter in Xi'an's practice of Chinese-style modernization.
