The exhibition Pompeii: A Never-Ending Discovery is now on view at the National Museum of China in Beijing. Since the first excavations in 1748, the buried city of Pompeii has fascinated the world for nearly three centuries. From excavating individual objects to the preservation of entire urban ruins, the exhibition reconstructs the vibrant social and cultural life of ancient Rome.
