Baotou promotes skilled talent development

The Skilled Talent Training Base declared by Inner Mongolia First Machinery Group Co and the Skill Master Studio declared by Inner Mongolia North Heavy Industries Group Co have been approved as a national high-skilled talent training base construction project and a national skill master studio construction project, respectively, another major achievement contributing to the development of the city's high-skilled talent team.

Baotou has attached great importance to the training of skilled talent in recent years, adhered to the integration of building a strong talent platform and industrial upgrading. It has also established a sound mechanism for the tiered and coordinated development of skilled talent cultivation platforms. Moreover, it has formed a skilled talent training and skill promotion network covering key industries and urgently needed occupations.

As of now, the city has 11 national and 19 autonomous-region-level high-skilled talent training bases, as well as 13 national and 34 autonomous-region-level skill master studios. This ranks it first among all leagues and cities in the Inner Mongolia autonomous region.

Inner Mongolia First Machinery is among the first group of chain-leading enterprises in the skills ecosystem for the equipment manufacturing industry in the province. It can carry out independent evaluations for 81 occupations and social training evaluations for 37 professions, arming 5,000-plus people a year on average with crucial vocational skills.

Rong Pengqiang, a representative of North Heavy Industries, leader of the national skill master studio construction project, possesses many unique skills. His independently developed processing method has filled technological gaps in the domestic market and generated economic benefits of over 10 million yuan ($1.45 million).
