The Qilu No 1 cultural heritage-themed train made its debut on Feb 14, turning the railway route between Shandong and Hebei provinces into a mobile museum. Departing from Taishan Station, the train provides passengers with an immersive journey that connects the grandeur of Taishan Mountain with the rich historical legacy of Tai'an.
The train features a selection of top-tier relics from Tai'an's major museums in specially designed exhibition carriages. Highlights include the iconic red pottery pig-shaped pot from the Dawenkou Site Museum, a circular jade disc from the State of Lu during the Warring States Period (475–221 BC), and a square ding, a type of ritual vessel.
Seven themed carriages focus on categories such as bronzes, ceramics, and ancient architecture, combining curated displays with educational storytelling. In addition to the static exhibitions, the train has interactive experiences, including oversized artifact puzzles and onboard treasure-hunt activities, creating an engaging cultural experience.
