7th session of 17th Xi'an people's congress opens

The seventh session of the 17th Xi'an people's congress convened on Feb 27, with deputies presenting the results of in-depth investigations and public voices, shouldering the earnest expectations of the Xi'an people and committed to fulfilling their duties.

After completing the registration procedures on Feb 26, the deputies began their pre-session preparations by reviewing the conference documents and the agenda.

In the coming days, the deputies will focus on the session agenda, including deliberation on the government work report, review of the draft outline of the 15th Five-Year Plan, contributions to development planning, and speaking for the people.

The deputies said that they will act with a strong sense of responsibility and political enthusiasm, put forward more insightful ideas and practical proposals, and convey grassroots voices and public aspirations, striving for new progress in Xi'an's Chinese-style modernization.
