CPPCC Xi'an committee opens annual session

The fifth session of the 15th Xi'an Municipal Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) opened on Feb 26 in Xi'an.

The meeting summarized the committee's work, achievements, and experience over the past year and outlined its work for 2026, which marks the first year of the 15th Five-Year Plan (2026-2030).

More than 500 members repledged their vows to uphold the two themes of unity and democracy, act with a commitment to fulfilling their duties to the country and serving the people, and secure a sound start to the 15th Five-Year Plan, opening up new prospects for Xi'an's practice of Chinese-style modernization.
