During the nine-day Spring Festival holiday in 2026, Quzhou in Zhejiang province received over 3.14 million visits, marking a 37 percent year-on-year increase, the second-highest growth rate in the province.
Overnight visits numbered over 2.28 million, a 44.3 percent rise compared with the same period last year, accounting for 72.7 percent of all visits.
According to data from Trip, one of China's biggest online travel agencies, Quzhou's OTA (Online Travel Agency) bookings surged 53 percent year-on-year during the holiday, with tourism spending rising by 51.4 percent.
The city received over 2.34 million visits from within the province, a 30.8 percent increase, representing 74.6 percent of the total visits. Meanwhile, 800,000 visits came from outside the province, a 58.7 percent increase, making up 25.4 percent of the total.
During the holiday, Quzhou's 4A-level and above scenic spots received 1.72 million visits, a 63.4 percent increase, with revenue surpassing 41.9 million yuan ($6.10 million), doubling the number from the previous year. Notable increases were seen at Quzhou Ancient City Cultural Tourism Zone, Jianglang Mountain-Nianbadu Scenic Area, and Root Palace Buddhist Cultural Tourism Zone.
The city hosted 359 cultural events, attracting 660,600 participants, a 117.88 percent increase, and 206 artistic performances, up 87.27 percent, drawing 425,800 locals and tourists.
