The Nianbadu Puppet Show, originating from Nianbadu town in Jiangshan county-level city, is renowned for its intricate craftsmanship and performances.

Artisans skillfully manipulate puppets, bringing them to life in dramatic tales, making it a significant part of western Zhejiang's intangible cultural heritage.

Changshan Hechai Ballads

Changshan Hechai Ballads, a folk vocal art form from Qiuchuan town in Changshan county and the first national intangible cultural heritage item of Changshan, have a history spanning four to five centuries.

Documented in the county and town annals, these ballads accompany various life events, from house construction to weddings and funerals, and embody wishes for prosperity and happiness. They have become a unique auditory symbol of Changshan's cultural identity.

The Xianghuo Straw Dragon Dance from Kaihua county was added to the national intangible cultural heritage list in 2011.
