Shanghai Hongqiao Railway Station opens 24/7 for Spring Festival rush

Major railway stations in Shanghai operate around the clock to ease the Spring Festival travel rush. [Photo/IC]
To provide a smoother travel experience during the Spring Festival travel rush, Shanghai Hongqiao Railway Station and three other major stations in the city have been operating 24 hours a day since Feb 8, with waiting areas also kept open 24 hours a day.
Overnight services include water, heating, consultation, dining, and shopping. Additional charging stations have been installed in waiting areas, and some shops are now open all night.
