Huaqing Palace has launched a series of Tang Dynasty (618–907)‑style events for the Year of the Horse, integrating Tang Dynasty culture with Spring Festival traditions to offer an immersive cultural tourism experience for visitors.
Nearly 100 performances will be staged daily, featuring Tang palace dances, dragon and lion dances, music, and parades, creating a lively Tang-style Chinese New Year atmosphere and authentic ancient market charm.
Huaqing Palace has also launched a Spring Festival cultural tourism fair, featuring a festive atmosphere, Chinese-style creativity, and food and entertainment, including culinary experiences, games, and product sales, creating a one-stop Spring Festival market.
The scenic area has introduced several preferential policies for the Spring Festival, with tourists from Shaanxi province able to purchase tickets priced at 40 yuan ($5.80) from Feb 15 to March 3, while nationwide tourists can enter for free by reciting the full text ofTheSong of Everlasting Sorrowfrom Feb 15 to 23. On Feb 21 (the fifth day of the Chinese New Year), tourists born in the Year of the Horse can enjoy free admission.
To meet demand for high-quality performances,The Song of Everlasting Sorrowwill be staged four times daily during the Spring Festival holiday, while the immersive showThe Xi'an Incidentwill increase to 11 shows per day, offering visitors a dual visual and spiritual experience.
