The exhibition Extraordinary Stones from Shanhaijing: From Ancient Minerals to Global Treasures opens today at the Chengjiang Fossil Site Natural History Museum in Yunnan province.

Featuring 150+ rare and extraordinary mineral specimens from around the world, this exhibition weaves together ancient myths and modern perspectives, China and the foreign world, for a true feast of mineral stones from the Shanhaijing (the "Classic of Mountains and Seas").
