A lively Spring Festival cultural festival took place at Shangri-La Guilin on Feb 5, blending traditional Chinese heritage with family-friendly fun and international exchange.

The hotel decorated its spaces with horse-themed designs, combining classic revolving lanterns and paper-cutting art with modern aesthetics. It will also host an eight-day Spring Festival program featuring cultural activities for local residents and foreign visitors.

Qin Zhiping, a leading local opera performer, led guests through hands-on workshops featuring traditional Guilin folk arts. The event also featured a charity donation to students at a local ethnic school in Lingui district.

Participants consisted of children and parents from local kindergartens and schools, along with international students from Myanmar, Laos, Morocco, Nigeria, and Uzbekistan at Guilin University of Electronic Technology. A Moroccan student said he enjoyed the dragon dance and the opportunity to celebrate with the local community.

Guilin has been combining its natural landscape and cultural heritage to promote tourism and boost local consumption. This festival has created a rich cultural experience while strengthening cross-cultural ties, highlighting Guilin's dynamic role as an international tourist destination.
