People living in what is now Inner Mongolia were already playing a form of ice hockey during the Liao Dynasty (916-1125), around 1,000 years ago. They had it all: sticks, wooden balls, written instructions, and even silk paintings showing how the game was played. To modern Ice Hockey players: may you go at full power and bring the heat onto the Winter Games stage!
