Yantai Spring Festival market sees strong start

The 2026 Yantai Spring Festival Shopping Fair began at the Yantai International Expo Center on Jan 31, launching 12 days of shopping and cultural activities until Feb 11.

The event saw a strong public turnout on its first day, with 15,386 visitors recorded. High foot traffic and active spending across the halls created a vibrant festive atmosphere, indicating strong pre-holiday consumer demand.

Over the two weekends, the fair serves as a one-stop hub, combining a wide range of festive goods with cultural experiences. It features over 400 enterprises across a 13,000-square-meter venue. Products range from appliances and furniture to food ingredients and festive specialties like flowers, gift boxes, and imports.

The fair also offers a variety of cultural activities and promotions, attracting many families. Several vendors reported better-than-expected sales on the first day, expressing optimism for the coming days.
