The 13th Shanxi Provincial Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) opened its fourth session on Feb 1, during which it presented the 2025 proposal work report. Since the third session, a total of 1,203 proposals were submitted over the year, with 1,046 accepted after review, reflecting an acceptance rate of 86.9 percent. All accepted proposals have been addressed by the relevant departments and units.

Throughout 2025, members of the 13th Shanxi Provincial Committee of the CPPCC, participating organizations, and specialized committees focused their proposals on key areas such as transformational development, improving governance efficiency, preserving cultural heritage, enhancing livelihoods, and strengthening environmental governance. These proposals covered various aspects of the province’s economic, political, cultural, social, and ecological development.

The 13th Shanxi Provincial Committee of the CPPCC has effectively utilized these proposals to fulfill its functions, with many suggestions incorporated into relevant decisions, development plans, and departmental work, thereby contributing significantly to the province’s high-quality development and comprehensive transformation.

The head of the provincial proposal committee stated that in 2026, the proposal work will focus on laying a solid foundation for the 15th Five-Year Plan (2026-30). By enhancing supervision effectiveness and improving work mechanisms, the committee aims to make better use of proposals to reflect public concerns and promote scientific and democratic decision-making.
