Xi'an integrates embodied intelligence with cultural tourism

Xi'an Qujiang Cultural Tourism Co signed a framework cooperation agreement with a technology company based in Xi'an at Tang Paradise on Jan 25.

The company, focusing on the scenario-based application of embodied intelligent robots and the R&D of integrated robotic joints, is an industrial leading enterprise and has now formed three core business segments: "integrated joints", "embodied digital services", and "professional scenario services".

Embodied intelligence is artificial intelligence with a "physical body". It is capable of thinking based on algorithms, and completing actions through physical carriers, realizing a closed loop of "perception-decision-execution".

Take the type-V and type-D robots developed by the company as prime examples: the 169-centimeter-tall type-V can shake hands with humans accurately with natural gaits, while the type-D is capable of precisely grasping objects such as grapes and oranges, with the entire set of movements executed in a smooth manner. Every simple movement requires thousands of sets of data training in real scenarios.

By establishing a regular cooperative relationship with leading enterprises in embodied intelligence, Qujiang New District will focus on Xi'an City Wall, Datang Everbright City, and Tang Paradise as application scenarios to develop seven types of application scenarios, including interpretation and reception, cultural and entertainment performances, security patrols, intelligent cleaning, and scientific research and education.

This means intelligent robots will be seen greeting visitors at Xi'an's cultural and tourism landmarks soon, and their capabilities will be continuously upgraded through scenario applications, providing application solutions and product portfolios for tourist scenic spots across the country.
