Direct high-speed trains from Beijing West Railway Station to Baiyangdian Railway Station in Xiong'an New Area, Hebei province, have become available for the first time, completing the high-speed loop in the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region.
The new national railway timetable, effective from Monday, adds four new services at Baiyangdian and adjusts the stopping times for 24 existing trains, according to China Railway Beijing Group.
The G8859/60 and G8861/62 are scheduled to meet peak commuting demand. The morning train departs Beijing West at 6:48 am, arrives at Baiyangdian at 7:53 am, and reaches Tianjin West at 8:38 am. Its evening return service leaves Tianjin West at 5:16 pm, stops at Baiyangdian at 5:59 pm, and arrives at Beijing West at 7:18 pm.
This adjustment is part of the efforts to support the high-quality development of Xiong'an New Area, a new economic engine that's about 100 kilometers southwest of downtown Beijing, and optimize the regional transport network, according to railway authorities.
