The 2026 Sino-Australian youth exchange event was held in Xi'an's Xi Hang No 1 High School on Jan 13.
A delegation of 45 Chinese teenagers from Australia and the school's students engaged in exchange activities such as talent showcases and course experiences. During the cultural exchange, the colors on the lacquered fan and the ink of Chinese painting and calligraphy allowed the teenagers to immerse themselves in the charm of traditional Chinese culture.
The Australian teens recalled that this trip to Xi'an was a significant cultural roots-seeking trip. They not only experienced the history of Xi'an and Chinese culture, but also felt the cultural resonance across mountains and seas in their exchanges with their Chinese peers.
After returning to Australia, they will share Xi'an's story and the wonderful Chinese culture with their relatives, classmates, and friends, and serve as a bridge for cultural exchanges between China and Australia, promoting mutual understanding and friendly exchanges between Chinese and Australian teenagers.
