This sound poem was inspired by the autumn scenery of the Communication University of China campus. The actors captured the gentle rustling of fallen leaves, the low hum of autumn insects, the sounds of tidying up, the quacking of ducks by the lake, and the sound of waterfalls, all of which are examples of the natural and rhythmic flow of the world around us. Notably, the sound poem incorporates the sound of a 19th century barrel organ preserved in China Media Museum. Reminiscent of 'Xuetang Yuege' (School Songs), its tone resonates with the scholarly atmosphere of the campus in autumn. These sonic elements are woven together to create a poetic auditory tapestry that pays heartfelt homage to the golden campus while offering a tender interpretation of sound as a poetic medium of memory.
