Daluo Port in Xishuangbanna Dai autonomous prefecture, Yunnan province, set a record for cross-border traffic in 2025, highlighting the region's growing economic vitality and international ties.

According to local news outlet yunnan.cn, 2.2 million people entered and exited through the port last year, a 30.2 percent increase compared with 2024. The figure marks the highest annual cross-border flow since the port opened in 1951.

In recent years, Daluo Port has seen a rapid rise in passenger numbers, with an average daily flow exceeding 6,000 and peak days surpassing 10,000.

The port's rapid growth in cross-border traffic reflects Southwest China's increasing economic vitality and the strengthening of international exchanges and cooperation, the news outlet added.

The Daluo border inspection station has implemented a range of measures to ensure safe and efficient border clearance, including fully opening inspection channels, enhancing passenger flow management, improving on-site guidance, and advancing digital and intelligent systems.
